Pradeepan was established in 1994 as a public beneficiary trust by local social youth companions and has been registered under Madhya Pradesh Societies Act 1973. Based in Betul, the organization strives to solve issues related to women, tribal and children and weaker sections through community empowerment approach. It started its journey with community empowerment awareness programmes conducted across 10 villages of Bhimpur block (one of the most backward tribal blocks) in Madhya Pradesh. Over the past 28 years, Pradeepan has addressed the basic questions around development, livelihood enhancement, community organization, women empowerment, education, health, child rights, environment sustainability and disaster management. awareness about government schemes.
